Any machine that decides and acts on its own.
Edge devices and robots, one runtime.
Reflex is the runtime for autonomous systems, in both their shapes: edge devices and robots. It pairs your autonomy stack with an ACI model, and the combination is the product. Whatever runs your machine today: a VLA, an MPC, an autopilot, a PLC program or an AI agent. It stays exactly as it is.
- Edge devices and robots
- Any autonomy stack
- Five guarantees
- Civil and defence
- On CPU, no connection needed
At the edge, the call is made on the spot.
Controllers, gateways and smart cameras, in plants, on sites and out in the field. Reflex runs on the device itself, beside the PLC program or the AI agent that runs it. It learns on the spot, plans, simulates and decides in the moment, sends every command through the gate and defers what it does not know, link or no link.
The level rises after rain, as it has before, so Reflex has the PLC program start the second pump.
On a robot, every move passes the gate.
Arms, mobile robots, drones, vehicles and vessels. Reflex rides on board, beside the VLA, the MPC or the autopilot that moves the robot, and works with it as one. It learns on the spot, plans, simulates and decides in the moment, and every command passes the gate before anything moves.
An arm run by a VLA meets a part it has never seen, and defers it rather than guess.
Five guarantees, whatever runs the machine.
On edge devices and robots alike, the same five hold. Every command passes the gate. Safety rules loosen only through an authorised, logged act. Every change can be traced and undone. Learning stays on the device. And when it does not know, it defers.
Whatever runs it
- VLA
- MPC
- Autopilot
- PLC program
- AI agent
Whatever its shape
- Edge devices
- Robots
Every command that acts passes the gate, and what fails does not run.
Wherever a machine works on its own.
On land, in the air, at sea, under water, in orbit and in industry: the same runtime and the same five guarantees, with or without a connection. Choose a domain to see it at work.
- On land →Ground robots, rovers, vehicles, farm and mining machinesLearns each site on the spot, from one correction.
- In the air →Survey, inspection and delivery dronesDecides in flight, and defers what it does not know.
- At sea →Surface vessels, for days out of rangePlans again when the weather turns, far from port.
- Under water →Underwater vehicles, with no link at allKeeps deciding on board, and keeps the unknown for the crew.
- In orbit →Satellites and landers, with long delaysDecides between contacts, inside the rules sent up on the last.
- In industry →Arms, cells, lines and smart camerasLearns a new part from one example, every command through the gate.
On land, every site is new ground.
Ground robots, rovers, vehicles and farm and mining machines work on ground that changes with every rain. Reflex learns each site on the spot, from one correction, and the lesson carries to every run like it. The MPC or the autopilot that drives the machine stays as it is.
After rain, the shift supervisor sends the truck down the east ramp instead of the west, once.
In the air, decisions cannot wait for a link.
Drones survey, inspect and deliver beyond sight, often beyond any link. Reflex decides in flight and the autopilot flies it. What it does not know goes to your operator, and a command that fails your rules never leaves the drone.
Its battery runs low far from base, and Reflex is sure of the way home, so the autopilot turns it back at once.
At sea, the plan changes far from port.
Surface vessels work for days or weeks out of range. Reflex plans to the goal over what the vessel has actually seen, plans again when the weather turns, and every course passes the gate before the autopilot steers it.
A storm builds across the survey line, so Reflex plans the rest of the survey round it.
Under water, there is no link at all.
Underwater vehicles lose every link as they dive. Reflex keeps deciding on board, inside the rules set before the dive, and what it does not know waits for the crew, marked and on record.
Below the surface there is no link at all, and it needs none to decide.
In orbit, the next instruction may be hours away.
A satellite hears from the ground only on its passes, and a lander far from Earth hears every command late. Reflex plans, simulates and decides on board between contacts, inside the rules sent up on the last one, and defers what is not its call to the next.
On a pass over the ground station, the team sends up the day’s plan and its rules.
In industry, a new part takes one example.
Arms, cells, lines and smart cameras change with every product. Reflex learns a new part from one example, on the spot, and the lesson carries to parts like it. The arm’s VLA and the line’s PLC program stay as they are, and every command passes the gate.
The camera sees a housing Reflex knows, so the arm’s VLA lifts it by the rim.
For civil and defence programmes alike.
The same five guarantees hold on every programme, civil or defence. It works with no connection, nothing has to leave the machine, and every decision is on record, ready for review.
Civil
- Plants, farms, mines and building sites
- Inspection and maintenance
- Ports, warehouses and delivery
- Survey and science, at sea and in orbit
- Search and rescue
Defence
- Logistics and convoy resupply
- Inspection and maintenance
- Mapping and survey
- Mine-countermeasure survey
- Perimeter patrol
- Search and rescue
The same five guarantees hold on every machine in the programme.
